Weapons complaint in Capreol

On April 19th 2015, at approximately 5pm, police received a complaint of a male walking with a gun down the street. Police attended and treated the complaint as a weapons complaint. It was learned that the gun was a pellet gun. The public are reminded that the perception of a person walking with a visible firearm does cause concerns to the general public. Gun complaints of this this nature will be treated seriously and as a weapons complaint until it is deemed otherwise. The public is urged to take precautions when transporting weapons including pellet guns regardless if they are travelling to a safe location to engage in the sport of hunting or even target practice.
