Drivers charged in impaired driving incidents - July 7th,2015
These charges have yet to be proven in a Court of law, and all accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty. All drivers involved with alcohol related offences of having over 80mgs or refusal have had their drivers licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

On June 1st, 2015, Russell Hearty, 27 years of age was charged with driving while impaired by drugs, possession of a controlled substance and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Police were contacted by a concerned citizen as they suspected the driver to be possibly impaired. The vehicle was located by police on Bancroft Dr. and Hearty was demanded to perform standard field sobriety tests. The investigating officer arrested Hearty and found him to be in possession of a controlled substance. Hearty was brought to police headquarters for processing.
On June 3rd, 2015, Joshua Stevens, 23 years of age was charged with having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. Stevens was stopped by police after he was observed to be driving his vehicle and weaving from lane to lane. The officer began investigating him for alcohol consumption. Roadside breath tests confirmed the presence of alcohol and Stevens was arrested and brought to police headquarters. Breath test readings confirmed that Stevens had over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood.
On June 6th, 2015 Tyler Bromley, 27 years of age was charged with having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. Charges were laid after police stopped his vehicle for speeding. The officer detected alcohol from the driver and administered a roadside breath test. Bromley was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Breath tests confirmed he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
On June 12th, 2015 David McLaughlin, 26 years of age was charged with having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. Officers were conducting RIDE enforcement in Chelmsford. The officer made a demand for a breath sample into a roadside screener. The result was a fail and McLaughlin was arrested. Breath tests confirmed he had over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood.
On June 13th, 2015 Mathieu Pelletier, 29 years of age was charged with having over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood. Officers were conducting RIDE enforcement in the area of Errington St and Main St in Chelmsford. The officer detected alcohol and made a roadside breath demand. Pelletier failed the test and was arrested and brought to police headquarters. Breath tests confirmed he had over 80mgs of alcohol in his blood.
On June 18, 2015, Dane Coffin, 60 years of age was charged with impaired driving of a motor vehicle, fail to remain at
scene of collision, four counts of drive while under suspension and operate a motor vehicle without insurance. Dane
Coffin was involved in a motor vehicle collision on Lorne St at Regent St. He left the scene prior to police arrival.
Officers located Dane Coffin at his residence and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for
impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed that he was also a suspended and should not be driving a motor vehicle.
