Gerry Lougheed steps aside as Police Services Board chair and member

The Greater Sudbury Police Services Board confirms that it has been made aware this morning that Gerry Lougheed Jr. was served a summons by the OPP and that they are proceeding with charges against him.

Mr. Lougheed has notified the Board that effective immediately he is stepping aside as Board Chair and Member and will not be fulfilling any of his duties, functions, and responsibilities as a Board Member until such time this matter has been concluded.

Vice Chair Caldarelli has assumed the position of Board Chair effective this date.
