Updated - October 28th, 2015 9:20am: Police say further investigation has revealed that the injuries received due to the motor vehicle collision have now been upgraded to serious non-life threatening and the extent of the injuries received by other individuals in the motor vehicle collision are unknown at this time.

Updated - October 28th, 2015 9:10am: Greater Sudbury Police Service wants to advise that Garson Coniston Road is now open to traffic.

As a result of the motor vehicle collision, minor injuries were received by one party involved.

Police are presently on scene in Garson investigating a two vehicle motor vehicle collision. Garson Coniston Road is closed in both directions due to the collision. The collision occurred half way between Falconbridge Rd and Highway 17. Fire and EMS are on scene.

The public is being asked to avoid this section of roadway.
