Updated: Weapons complaint – Health Sciences North on Ramsey Lake Road

As a result of a collaborative investigation between the Greater Sudbury Police and hospital officials, a 22 year old male was arrested without incident and charged with Public Mischief. There were no injuries sustained by any persons nor damage to hospital property. 

At this time the hospital is re-opened, operational and safe.

Originial: At approximately 4:45 p.m. the Greater Sudbury Police Service received a report weapons complaint at Health Sciences North on Ramsey Lake Road in Greater Sudbury. Officers immediately attended the hospital to engage into an investigation. At this time police can advise that the staff at the hospital has not observed any suspicious or unusual behaviour to suggest the public in at risk. There is no evidence to support any crime involving a weapon and there are no injuries linked to this complaint. The source of the call continues to be followed up.
