On Sunday, January 24, 2016 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a member of the Uniform Patrol Division observed a vehicle travelling northbound on MR#80, Val Caron at a high rate of speed. The male driver was observed travelling103 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone.
The roads at the time were snow covered and the city plows were in the area.
The male driver was issued a provincial offence notice for speeding and educated on safe driving practices.
Police has previous advised the public on January 20th, 2016 that they were undertaking an enforcement blitz following a fatal motor vehicle collision on Monday January 18th, 2016.
