April 01, 2014 - On Monday March 31st 2014 at 1:00 pm, security at the New Sudbury Shopping Centre contacted the police in relation to a male with a weapon. An adult male confronted a female in the area of the food court and demanded money. The suspect then displayed an edged weapon and made threats while attempting to steal her wallet. The suspect was engaged and followed by security before being arrested by police outside the mall. The victim was not injured in the incident.







A 37 year old male from Sudbury remains in police custody. He is awaiting a bail hearing for the offence of robbery.
