Police say no foul play suspected in the death of a 53 year old Sudbury man

Update - April 15th, 2016 3:30pm: Members of the The Greater Sudbury Criminal Investigation Unit has determined that no foul play was involved in the death of the 53 year old male.

 

Police would like to thank witnesses in the neighbourhood for their assistance in this coroner’s investigation.

 

No names have been release pending notification of next of kin.

In the early evening of the 14th of April, police were dispatched to a residence on Victoria St in Sudbury where an adult male had been discovered deceased. As a precaution, the matter is being treated as suspicious at this time and two separate residences on Victoria Street in Sudbury have been secured by police. The name and age of the male is being withheld as Next of Kin have yet to be located and notified. A post mortem is scheduled for today and the Criminal Investigation Unit is continuing with the investigation. Police are seeking public assistance for any information and to contact the Greater Sudbury Police Service at 705-675-9171 or Crimestoppers at 222-TIPS, online at www.sudburycrimestoppers.com or by texting TIPSUD and the information to CRIMES (274637).
