While young drivers make up 13 per cent of all licensed drivers in Canada, they account for almost one-fourth of all road-related injuries and fatalities. Vale, the Sudbury Road Safety Committee and Lively District Secondary School is partnering with Parachute and their national partner State Farm for National Teen Driver Safety Week (NTDSW), taking place October 19-25, 2015 to raise awareness and improve road safety for teens.

City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services Receives Donated Pet Oxygen Masks

City of Greater Sudbury’s fire crews now have 8 more pet oxygen masks that can be used on any domestic animal that needs help breathing due to smoke inhalation. The donation was part of a national effort called Project Breathe by the Invisible Fence Brand and the company has already donated more than 10,000 masks throughout Canada and the U.S
