On Saturday October 4th, 2014 at approximately 9:30pm two males forced their way into a residence of a lone male. A knife was used and physical force to control the male in an attempt to steal medication and money, neither of which was obtained
At 6:40pm on Saturday October 4th, 2014 a lone male entered the Esso Gas Bar located at 458 Cote Blvd., Capreol brandishing both a knife and a gun. The culprit had his identity concealed and he demanded cash.

Shutting down a water main in Val Caron will disrupt water delivery on MR80 between the Whitson River Bridge to the Caisse Populaire on Monday, October 6, from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Water will still be delivered to the Val Est Mall. Greater Sudbury Police have identified of the victim of the Train / Pedestrian collision that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 4th. The 63-yr old male was residing in the Greater Sudbury area but was not originally from the city. Attempts are being made to locate and notify family members therefore the victim`s name will not be released.
