Three Males Arrested in Stolen Truck

On the 16th of May 2014 at approximately 10:30 am, officers of the Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) unit had occasion to observe a stolen truck. The stolen vehicle, a 1997 green GMC was parked unattended in a parking lot on Beech Street in Greater Sudbury.

Knowledge of how to properly use these devices can provide 911 communicators with an avenue to locate members of the public who have become lost or are in medical distress, and require immediate assistance.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 - Issued at 12:00pm -The Ministry of Natural Resources - Sudbury District is advising area residents in Sudbury, Markstay-Warren, Wanup, St. Charles, Espanola, areas of the North-shore and the unorganized Townships south of Sudbury that a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook remains in effect within these areas. The key watersheds included in this statement are; the Aux Sables River, Spanish River, Wanapitei River, Veuve River and Vermillion River.

Students from Sudbury’s Collège Notre-Dame displayed great skill during the recent Franco-Ontarian Chess Tournament in Haileybury from May 8 to 10. This activity enabled the 235 student players to measure their skills in a discipline that requires much strategizing, memory and problem-solving abilities.
