At 8 pm on Thursday March 20th, police were alerted to 2 distraught females who were on the railway bridge over Frood Road.

Éco H2O project launched at É.s.c. l’Horizon

Students and staff from Val Caron’s École secondaire catholique l’Horizon recently launched the new Éco H2O ecological project. This initiative, linked to the schools High Skills Specialist Major in health and wellness, will make the school community aware of the importance of drinking water in the course of a day while at the same time reducing the number of plastic bottles.

A serious Motor Vehicle Collision between 2 vehicles has occurred shortly before 6 am at Second Avenue and Kingsway. At this time most of the lanes are closed to traffic including the Southbound lane on Second Ave and the Westbound lane on the Kingsway.

Bishop Alexander Carter Catholic Secondary School students participated in a Global Project through the Hivees organization. In order to recognize the importance of March 3, the official World Wildlife Day, students created informational posters to spread awareness in the school about the issues surrounding the world's flora and fauna.
