17 year old driver charged; 148 km/h in an 80 km/h near Copper Cliff

On April 20th, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a Traffic Management Unit Officer was conducting speed enforcement on Municipal Road 55 near Copper Cliff when the officer observed a car travelling at well beyond the posted speed limit.

Ontario AMBER CANCELLED: Vehicle involved in collision; father in custody

Sources say the vehicle was involved in a collision while travelling at a high rate of speed. The father is in custody. Police say the child has suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital complaining of head and neck pain following high-speed rollover while unrestrained.

Police partner with Transit to get a better vantage point

Yesterday Greater Sudbury Police officers partnered with City Transit and implanted an officer on two different transit buses that traveled various routes throughout the city. The officers had an advantageous viewpoint from the transit bus as they could see down into vehicles while being offered cover from an unexpected mode of transportation.
