On 29 December 2015, the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a snow machine breaking through the ice on Whitewater Lake in Azilda.
On December 26, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received two traffic complaints regarding a red Volkswagen Jetta driving erratically, travelling at a high rate of speed and forcing other motorists to take evasive action in order to avoid a collision.
