In the early morning hours of the 24th of October 2014, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Break, Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit acted on anonymous information received from the public that resulted in the arrest of a 26-yr old male resident of the City of Greater Sudbury in relation to two robberies committed on the 21st of October 2014 - the Esso Gas Bar on Notre Dame Ave. and the Kwik Way on Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury.

On the 21st of October 2014 at approximately 10:00 p.m. a lone male entered the Kwik Way Store located at 594 Lasalle Blvd. in Sudbury.
On the 21st of October 2014 at approximately 3:50 a.m. a lone male entered the Esso Gas bar located at 180 Lasalle Blvd. in Sudbury.
(TEMAGAMI, ON) Shortly before 6:00 a.m. on October 17, 2014, members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a head on motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 Askin Township involving a northbound tractor trailer and a southbound Pontiac Sunfire.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance if their vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident overnight in the areas of Second Ave and New Sudbury to call it in to police.
