The victim has been identified as 20yr old Allan Ashawaagai. Greater Sudbury Police have charged a 17 year old female whose name will not be released with second degree murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS), the Ontario Provincial Police, Greater Sudbury Fire Services (GSFS) and Greater Sudbury Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the area of Kukagami Lake in relation to a police assistance call.
Information was received that several canoes had capsized and that people were missing. All persons have been located and are in good health. Emergency Services personnel would like to thank the public for their assistance.

On Sunday June 1st at 1:50 am, there was a robbery at Tim Hortons on Falconbridge Rd near Lasalle Blvd. A lone male brandishing a blunt force weapon, entered the business and demanded money.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service and the City of Greater Sudbury By-law office continue to receive calls about aggressive door-to-door salespersons, or salespersons not showing / possessing proper credentials which identify their company or confirm that they have a permit allowing them to canvass the Greater Sudbury area.
Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service are currently at the intersection of Lorne and Douglas St, in Sudbury assisting Interpaving Ltd with resurfacing of the roadway. Officers will be on scene till 5pm and there will be intermittent lane closures until this time. Traffic will be delayed and therefore motorist are encouraged to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
